The Strategist Co Ltd ("we") is the controller of your information.

What we collect
When you use the contact form: your name, email address, organisation and whatever you write in your message.
When you visit the site: technical information such as your IP address, browser and the pages you view. Squarespace, which hosts the site, collects this to run and secure it. See Cookies below.
Please don't send health details or other sensitive information through the form. If you do, we will use it only to reply to you.
Why we use it, and the lawful basis
To reply to your enquiry and keep a record of it. Lawful basis: legitimate interests. When someone contacts us, we have a legitimate interest in replying.
To prepare or carry out an engagement, if your enquiry leads to one. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before a contract, then the contract itself.
To keep the site working and secure. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
We don't sell your information, add you to a mailing list or send marketing emails without your consent.
Who else handles it
Squarespace hosts the website and processes form submissions on our behalf. Squarespace may process data outside the UK, including in the United States, under the safeguards set out in its data processing terms.
Microsoft 365 stores the email each form submission creates, as our email provider.
Google provides Google Analytics, which runs only if you accept analytics cookies.
We share your information with no one else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to work: deleted 12 months after the last contact.
Correspondence with clients: kept for six years after the engagement ends, in line with company record-keeping requirements and the time limit for contract claims.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or stop using it. Where it applies, you can also ask for it in a portable format.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and its date.
